Lower Merion police say a woman in her 60’s was injured Sunday morning July 15 in Wynnewood after being struck by a goose while she was bike riding.
“People were bicycling down Remington Road when a goose actually flew into the path of the bicycling and hit the person and knocking her off her bike,” Lower Merion Supt. Mike McGrath said when asked about the incident.
Police say the woman was taken for medical treatment but her injuries did not appear to be serious. The goose, however, died from its injuries. [Maineline Media News]

Saddest story I’ve read in a long time. This bicyclist comes barreling through the goose’s natural habitat, and when the goose tries to stand up for himself, he gets viciously murdered. Just so typical. The bicyclists aren’t even satisfied with overrunning our roads and our sidewalks, now they have to start pushing geese out of their homes as well. Remember this shit the next time a bicyclist tells you they ride their bike because they “care about the environment.”
